welcome to craftHER Market.

At #bossbabesATX, all of our productions are centered around sustaining communities that care about gender equality and supporting local, creative businesses. 

craftHER Market is no different. It's been inspired by a few of our favorite things: pop-up spaces, traditional marketplaces and the people who organize others to gather. In its two years of production, craftHER Market has showcased more than 600 makers and seen 15,000+ attendees and 1,800+ applicants. Opening every Spring and Fall, the day-long community event features entrepreneurial panels, opportunities to support local nonprofits and family-friendly activities. Reflecting a myriad of women and nonbinary artists and creative entrepreneurs across Texas, all 115 of our seasonal exhibitors own their craft, and at least 90% of our booths exhibit wares made by hand.🎈Check out the recap from Fall '18. apply for craftHER Market spring 2019.

craftHER Market Spring '19 will pop up on April 14, 2019 at Fair Market in Austin, Texas. Applications are now open from January 8, 2019 to 11:59 PM CT on February 8, 2019. The lineup will be announced on Feb. 25, 2019. Here are the steps you need to follow to apply:

1.) Review the craftHER Market mindset to understand the context of your application, the market and its mission.

2.) Determine what you’re applying for. There are three booth types at craftHER Market:

— APPLYING AS A MAKER —
If accepted, there will be a $110 booth fee due within 48 hours of acceptance. This fee includes:
a 6x6 booth space (at maximum), a 6 ft. table, 2 fold-out chairs, access to WiFi

— IF APPLYING AS A FOOD VENDOR —
If you're applying as a food vendor, your booth fee varies depending on your setup and needs (it does not exceed a $300 day rate). We will work with you to coordinate the amount of space you need, access to power, etc.

— IF APPLYING AS A COMMUNITY TABLE —
If you're applying as a community table, your booth fee is waived. As a community table, you must provide a free service or activity within the market for attendees. Your acceptance also includes: a 6x6 booth space (at maximum), a 6 ft. table, 2 fold-out chairs, access to WiFi.

3.) Once you’ve determined what your applying for, purchase your application (link to purchase is below these steps). A file will then be delivered via email upon purchase. Please download that file onto your desktop (it will not work if you attempt to do so via a mobile phone).

4.) That file will contain a link to your application form. Please remember that this application form is due by Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:59 PM CST. Applications submitted after that date will not be considered. We will respond to your application by February 19, 2019. The lineup will be released on Feb. 25, 2019.

craftHER Market is produced by a team of staff and volunteer committee members at #bossbabesATX. #bbatx is a nonprofit organization that amplifies women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community organizers. Our event series, showcases, strategic collaborations and professional development programs provide a platform of visibility, outreach and financial opportunity to 1000+ emerging women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and organizers per year. On top of that goodness, the public-at-large is invited to participate and learn more about how gender inequality affects their daily lives. More than 10,000+ community members annually attend our showcases, markets and dialogues—and in the last three years, our programs generated an additional $1million for the Austin economy.
