Meet 20 Vendors From Our Summer 2021 Lineup

Now that we’ve officially wrapped our reopening weekend, we’ve invited four of our favorite Texans to share their finds from The Front.

Say hello to 20 vendors from our latest lineup—all curated by our favorite Texans.

CURATED BY: THE LITTLE GAY SHOP

The Little Gay Shop is a queer marketplace selling books, magazines, art, apparel, and more from local, national, and international queer-identifying makers and artists. The Little Gay Shop believes that artists, especially marginaized artists, should be paid fairly and competitively, which is why we are working to end the stigma of free work. We exist to support, celebrate and ignite the queer community through art, cultivate an inclusive and diverse community through events, and provide space for marginalized members within our queer family. We have a physical shop at 828 Airport Blvd in partnership with Stay While Coffee that is open from 9am-6pm every day. You can learn more at thelittlegayshop.com

THEIR FRONT MARKET FINDS:

CURATED BY: SEQUOYAH JOHNSON

Sequoyah Johnson is the Austin-based ceramicist behind The Coy Collection. Her work is a distinctive mix between sleek modern shapes with childhood iconography, and it’s that nostalgic design sensibility that’s drawn brands like Free People, West Elm, Madewell, and Microsoft to the Coy Collection for collaborations.

After receiving her BFA in Ceramics and Art education, Sequoyah taught k-middle school art for seven years. That playful sensibility translates directly into The Coy Collection, which launched in 2018.

The Coy Collection offers a variety of ceramic wares that make you feel good - connecting functional artwork to self love and care. Our mission is to empower, inspire, and spark joy in everyday rituals. Each piece serves as a lil reminder that your body + home are worthy of smiles, love, and warmth.

HER FRONT MARKET FINDS:

CURATED BY: CATIE LEWIS

Catie Lewis is a self-taught artist and muralist living in Austin, TX, and specializes in oil paintings, line art and large scale murals.

As a Filipino-American, Catie uses art to reconnect with her ancestral lineage and redefine her cultural identity by incorporating scenes of her homeland and native elements into her paintings.

Catie recently founded WallsTalkCo., a mural company providing custom murals for businesses and accessible resources and opportunities to young creatives like her. She’s painted murals for local businesses like Shag Salon and EleMINT Skin and companies such as Google and Lexus.

HER FRONT MARKET FINDS:

CURATED BY: JEN ZEANO

JZD is a lifestyle brand that builds community and celebrates cultura every day! We exist to empower you and remind you that your ancestors are always cheering you on!

JZD started in 2016 because we felt like we needed a reminder of our power. Our first successful product is the now iconic Pink Latina Power Tee. When that tee blew up we realized that so many of you felt the same same way. At that moment we decided to focus on creating products that made us feel represented and connected to our roots. We’ve grown and changed but at the core this brand is still on a mission to tell not only our story, but yours too.

HER FRONT MARKET FINDS:

Everything we do supports women and LGBTQ+ creatives, designers, artists and small business owners from the Texas South.
