Free and open to the public, these panels run concurrently with the marketplace at craftHER Market and span topics including maker culture, entrepreneurialism and community-building. All are welcome to attend.

The panels are powered in part by Volusion and the stage design will be coordinated by our lovely friends at Party at the Moontower Rentals. Stay tuned for session speakers, descriptions and RSVP links.

11:30 AM — Mental Health & Entrepreneurship
Our first session for the day, "Mental Health & Entrepreneurship" was curated by #bbatx committee member Nina Rose Bailey. In conversation with small business owners Keisha Gillis and Nicole Conway and mental health professionals Jenny S. Lee and Davia Roberts, Bailey and the group will discuss approaches to mental health within the workplace, finding (or not finding) balance and creating space for self-care.

12:30 PM — Negotiating My Way
Curated by maker Nina Berenato, in conversation with financial thought leader Kara Perez and entrepreneur Cindy Villanueva, this discussion will explore setting fees and prices, becoming financially independent and learning your business’ “no.”

1:30 PM — Get Educated (On Continued Skill-Building and A Learning Mindset)
Curated by #bbatx co-founding board member Leslie Lozano, in conversation with small business owner Nina Ho and scholar Yvette DeChavez, this discussion will explore continued skill-building and adult learning.

2:30 PM — Representation for Women of Color in the Entrepreneurial World
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint at heart and the pursuit for success may be delayed with obstacles. For Women of Color, these obstacles can turn into roadblocks and for some dead ends. It’s hard to get a seat at the table when you’re not on the invitation list. Curated by Keisha Gillis, in conversation with Lily Shepard, TK Tunchez and Maaty Owaribu, the purpose of this panel discussion is to bring to light the struggles that WOC face in the business world and identify ways to make it more inclusive.

3:30 PM — Building an Honest Brand
This discussion was curated by #bbatx committee member Jasmine Robinson and will feature a conversation between digital strategist Alexis Davis, entrepreneur Jade Ayala and Nichele Lindstrom, the Director of Global Marketing at Whole Foods. Through their different perspectives, Jasmine and the panelists will tackle branding and messaging. How can we show up authentically through and for our businesses and their customers?
