Meet the evening’s panelists.
Stephanie, the founder of Austin Skincare Company, started her beauty career studying at the Mud Design School of Make-Up, in Burbank CA. She later obtained her esthetician's license from Marinello's School of Beauty, also in California. After graduating, she worked as a freelance make-up artist in L.A. for fashion photography shoots. Stephanie worked at Benefit Cosmetics, in the Corporate Boutique in West Hollywood, CA. performing full body waxing, eyelash and brow tinting and makeup artistry. She is also certified to perform high end chemical peels. Stephanie has most recently been certified in Lavish lashes eyelash extensions. Stephanie's path led her to Austin, Texas where she worked for Milk+Honey Spa and the spa at The Four Seasons, until she opened her own company, The Austin Skincare Company, which operates out of the St. Edward's area of South Congress.
Rachel Musquiz is the chef and founder of Curcuma, a plant-based food trailer in East Austin that serves superfood drinks and Ayurvedic inspired cuisine. Curcuma has been recognized among Austin Chronicle's 100 Restaurants Defining Austin Now and Bon Appetit's Best Healthy Restaurants in Austin. Prior to becoming a self-taught chef and solopreneur, Rachel had a 10 year career in media working with Conde Nast, L'Oreal, and NBCUniversal and received her MA in Media Studies at The New School University in New York City. Her journey with the ancient healing traditions of Ayurveda began on a yoga mat, and inspired her to incorporate the concept of food as medicine into her kitchen, both personally and professionally.
Born and raised in Rochester NY, Lily Shepard is a graduate of School of the Arts and holds a bachelors degree in dance from SUNY Brockport. She is also an AFAA certified group fitness instructor. She spent 11 years in Las Vegas where she danced alongside Beyoncé at the Billboard Awards and was a cast member of multiple productions on the Vegas Strip. She just celebrated her third anniversary of living in Austin and since being here has created her signature dance fitness format Twerk N Burn™ and started Body Bloom ATX, a wellness lifestyle company focused on embracing to becoming more confident, powerful and mindful through movement.
