APPLICATIONS FOR CRAFTHER MARKET APRIL 2020 WILL OPEN IN LATE 2019.

At #bossbabesATX, all of our programs are centered around sustaining communities that care about gender equality and supporting local, creative businesses.

craftHER Market is no different. It's been inspired by a few of our favorite things: pop-up spaces, traditional marketplaces and the people who organize others to gather. In its three years of existence, craftHER Market has showcased more than 600 makers and seen 20,000+ attendees and 2,000+ applicants. Opening every Spring and Fall, the two-day community event features entrepreneurial panels, opportunities to support local nonprofits and family-friendly activities. Reflecting a myriad of women and nonbinary artists and creative entrepreneurs across Texas, all 150 of our seasonal exhibitors own their craft, and at least 90% of our booths exhibit wares made by hand.

Still psyched on all of the positivity from #bbatx’s craftHER Market. Thanks to everyone who came out for sweet sweets!

I went for reconnection, inspiration and curiosity and I left sure that I’m gonna get my creative juices flowing again and get my butt back to the sewing machine! Thanks #bbatx for making craftHER Market happen.
— Frankie, 2017 attendee
craftHER Market was the best! We had such a great day that I didn’t get a good shot of my booth. It’s truly such a rewarding experience watching people react to my work. I loved seeing SO many people laugh.
— Earthereal Design, 2017 vendor
I’m still buzzing from the excitement of yesterday and wanted to share a note of gratitude. craftHER Market Spring ‘18 was my second CraftHER, and the experience was incredible. Both markets gave me an opportunity to push myself further than I ever have, but participating for the second time allowed me to see just how far I’ve come. I was confident that I was capable, but didn’t have access to a platform to create at such a volume. Thank you for providing the space for me to take a significant step forward in my business. CraftHER gave me the revenue and experience to continue the journey of growth. I am so grateful to each of you for creating this community, and providing an opportunity for makers like me to succeed.
— Rachel Musquiz of Curcuma, 2018 vendor

Meet the Market's Producers and Partners

craftHER Market is produced by a team of staff and volunteer committee members at #bossbabesATX. #bbatx is a nonprofit organization that amplifies women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community organizers. Our event series, showcases, strategic collaborations and professional development programs provide a platform of visibility, outreach and financial opportunity to 1000+ emerging women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and organizers per year. On top of that goodness, the public-at-large is invited to participate and learn more about how gender inequality affects their daily lives. More than 10,000+ community members annually attend our showcases, markets and dialogues—and in the last three years, our programs generated an additional $1million for the Austin economy.

This year's market is supported in part by our partners at Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division and Fair Market. This year's in-kind contributors and supportive brands include Party at the Moontower Rentals, MY EVENT IS THE BOMB and Austin Woman Magazine.
